I'm testing a velodyne gpu plugin with gazebo and I'm encountering this error:
[gazebo-2] process has died [pid 4440, exit code 255, cmd /home/alex/catkin_ws/src/gazebo_ros_pkgs/gazebo_ros/scripts/gzserver -e ode /home/alex/catkin_ws/src/velodyne_simulator/velodyne_description/world/example.world __name:=gazebo __log:=/home/alex/.ros/log/18537306-7336-11e8-9296-bcee7b8d9c26/gazebo-2.log].
log file: /home/alex/.ros/log/18537306-7336-11e8-9296-bcee7b8d9c26/gazebo-2*.log
The output doesn't indicate the issue and the log file is never written to. Both a gzclient and gzserver start up when I launch, but when the error occurs the gzserver stops. From what I've researched, this might be related to the gpu or graphics drivers? I'm using the NVIDIA Quadro M2000 with Gazebo 7 and I've tried both open and closed source nvidia drivers such as 384 and 390.
